A very special flowery birthday

Recently, I had the absolute pleasure of hosting the most beautiful birthday celebration for a very special 8-year-old — Isabelle.

Isabelle previously attended one of my Christmas wreath workshops with her mum and fell in love with floristry. So much so, that when it came to planning her birthday party, she asked if she could have it here at the workshop. 

The beauty of my workshops is that they can be adapted to suit different ages, interests and ability levels — which made creating something just right for Isabelle and her friends so much fun.

What We Made

Over two creative and joy-filled hours, the girls:

Designed their own pressed flower bookmarks
Created a fresh flower table arrangement
Made a little heart wreath, finished with delicate dried flowers

The workshop was packed full of creativity, laughter and that lovely sense of freedom you only really see when children are completely absorbed in making something with their hands.

Every child went home not only with their beautiful floral creations, but also with a Junior Florist Certificate — which brought so many proud smiles when they received them. That moment was just magic.

It was such a beautiful day and a reminder of how much children benefit from creative spaces where they can explore, learn new skills, and simply enjoy the process.
