The Introduction to Floristry is held at our Workshop in Loversall 10:00 am - 4:00 pm each day. All materials, flowers and tools are included, as are refreshments & lunch. Please let us know any dietary requirements.

Day One – Flowers for the home or corporate contract

You will learn what to buy each season, stem types, how to condition and care for flowers. You will create beautiful seasonal hand-tied bouquet of luxury flowers and learn how to package it. You will also create a floral arrangement in a container.

Day Two – Wedding Flowers

You will learn the basics of how to approach the wonderful world of wedding flowers! You will to learn how to create a beautiful hand tied wedding bouquet, buttonholes and a flower crown. You will learn wiring techniques and wedding essentials.

Day Three – Funeral Flowers

You will learn how to create beautiful and tasteful florals for funeral orders. You will create casket sprays and tied sheaf

Day Four – Arrangements

Using sustainable techniques you will create a series of floral arrangements in various containers. You will learn creative styling for your arrangements and add finishing touches.

Day Five – Setting up as a florist

Flower farm visit, we show you how to choose your flowers and how the fairs / markets works. You will learn how to plan flower orders, delivering flower orders, marketing, a social media expert will start you on your new journey and we will show you how to network to get your business of the ground.

As the flowers will have been selected for the class, unfortunately the class booking is non refundable or transferable if you are unable to attend. Cancellations can occur up until 6 weeks prior.
