Summer pastel romance in a French Chateau

There's something truly magical about a summer wedding in the French countryside. When I was asked to create floral arrangements for a destination wedding at the stunning Chateau de Puissentut, I knew this was going to be a day to remember.
The bride had a beautiful vision: soft, dreamy pastel tones that would complement the château's elegant architecture and the surrounding landscape. Her bridesmaids wore different coloured pastel dresses – a modern twist on tradition that looked absolutely stunning in photographs. The bride herself carried a gorgeous seasonal bouquet, bursting with blooms that captured the very essence of summer.

Of course, coordinating flowers for a destination wedding comes with its own set of challenges. We experienced a heatwave during the event, which meant constant vigilance to keep every bloom fresh and beautiful throughout the day. It required careful planning, proper hydration techniques, and a bit of stress management on my part – but seeing everything come together perfectly made it all worthwhile.

The French sunshine seemed to light up every flower and every moment. There's something about natural golden light that makes pastels glow in a way that's almost impossible to capture. Walking through that château with a bride who was absolutely radiant, surrounded by flowers in perfect condition, reminded me why I fell in love with floral design in the first place.
I spent years living and working in France, and I have such a deep affection for French weddings and the romance they embody. If you're dreaming of a destination wedding – whether in France or elsewhere – and you'd like to discuss creating floral arrangements that will make your vision a reality, I'd love to hear from you. Get in touch, and let's start planning something beautiful together.
Big flowery loves
